Can We Deliver a Dumpster Today in Lubbock?

Most days, yes.

Call before 11 a.m. and we can usually drop a roll-off at your address the same day. Saturday works too. You just need to call by 8 a.m., because the disposal sites close at midday.

If today is full, we say so right away. You will not wait in the driveway for a truck that is not coming. We hold the first slot tomorrow morning instead — and that costs you nothing extra.

We will not promise same-day before we check. Too much changes in an hour. What we do promise is a straight answer in about two minutes.

Give us your addressand tell us what you are throwing out.

We check the lotto see which containers are sitting empty right now.

We check our routesto see where the trucks are already running.

You get a real windowa firm delivery time, not a maybe.

Delivery Speed

How Fast Can a Dumpster Get to You?

Most drops inside Lubbock land two to four hours after your call. Your side of town moves that number. So does where our truck already sits.

Your areaTypical same-day window
Central, Tech Terrace, Overton, Depot District2–3 hours
South Lubbock (82nd, 98th, Milwaukee, Lakeridge)2–4 hours
North and East Lubbock2–4 hours
Wolfforth, Shallowater3–5 hours
Slaton, Idalou, New Deal, AbernathyEarly call only — often next morning

These are normal windows, not promises. A packed route, a long haul, or bad weather stretches them. Give us your address and we will tighten the window for you.

The Deciding Factors

What Decides Whether Today Is Possible

Five things move the answer.

What is on the lot

We can only send a container we actually have. A 20-yard sitting empty at 9 a.m. can be gone by 11.

Where our trucks are

If a driver already works your side of town, you move up the list. If every truck is north, the drop takes longer.

How far you are

City addresses turn around fastest. Runs out to Slaton, Idalou, or Abernathy add drive time on both ends.

What you are loading

Shingles, concrete, dirt, and brick get heavy fast. Tell us on the first call and we will match the right container and fill line.

Whether the drop spot is clear

The truck needs room to back in. Move cars, open the gate, and look up for low branches.

Why 11 a.m.?

Why the Cutoff Sits in the Morning

This part is simple math, and it is specific to Lubbock.

The Caliche Canyon Landfill on North Avenue P is closed to the public at the working face. It only takes small brush loads. So most roll-off debris runs north to the West Texas Regional Disposal Facility on FM 2528, out by Abernathy. That is a long round trip, and it caps how many loads one truck can turn in a day.

Saturday is tighter. The construction landfill on North Avenue P shuts at 11:45 a.m. Once it closes, our truck cannot dump — and a full truck cannot pick up your container.

That is the whole reason we ask you to call early. It is not a sales tactic. It is the schedule we work inside.

Landfill hours change. We confirm them before every Saturday run.

Pricing

Does Same-Day Delivery Cost More?

No. You pay the same flat rate as a scheduled drop. There is no rush fee for calling this morning. Your price still comes from the usual five things: size, debris type, weight, rental days, and how far we drive.

Dumpster sizeFlat-rate rangeGood for
10-yard$275–$400Small cleanouts, bath demo, heavy debris
15-yard$325–$450Garage cleanouts, small remodels, yard waste
20-yard · most popular$400–$525Roofing, flooring, junk removal, remodels
30-yard$450–$600Estate cleanouts, big home jobs, construction
40-yard$525–$675+Large builds and commercial cleanouts

Every rental covers delivery, pickup, a set rental period, and an included weight limit.

One note on overage fees. They are not a penalty we made up. The city charges $33.94 per ton at Caliche Canyon and $40.94 per ton at the Abernathy facility. When a load goes over the included weight, we pass on what the scale house charges us — and we tell you the limit before the truck rolls.

Same-Day Stock

Which Sizes Can Usually Go Out Today?

Smaller containers move fastest. We keep more of them on the lot.

30 yardCall early
40 yardOften next-day

Not sure which size fits? Tell us what you are tossing and roughly how much. We will pick one in under a minute.

The Real Reasons

Why Customers Need Same-Day Dumpster Rental

Nobody plans an emergency. Most same-day calls come from people whose day just changed. A storm hit overnight. A tenant left a mess behind. A crew showed up ready to work with no container on site. Or another company took the booking and never sent the truck.

There is also a Lubbock-specific reason. The city offers no curbside bulk pickup. When a fridge dies or a couch has to go, you either haul it yourself or rent a container. And the city convenience stations only take small resident loads, so contractors and paid crews cannot use them at all.

A same-day roll-off solves all of that with one call. The debris leaves your property today, not next week. Your crew keeps working. Your driveway stays clear. And you skip the landfill line completely. Explore roll-off dumpster rentals →

Emergencies We Cover

Urgent Jobs We Handle the Same Day

Hail & storm damage

West Texas hail strips a roof in ten minutes. When the crew arrives next morning, the container needs to be there first. See roofing dumpsters →

Tenant move-outs

An empty unit costs you money every day. We drop a box so your crew can clear it and start repairs. See residential rental →

The other company no-showed

A big share of our same-day calls. If someone left you hanging, call us. You will know in two minutes whether we can cover it. View our dumpster services →

Big items, nowhere to go

Lubbock has no curbside bulk pickup. A couch, a mattress, or an old fridge means hauling it yourself — or renting a container.

Failed inspection or closing

Debris on the property can stall a sale. We can clear the driveway before the walkthrough.

Burst pipes & water damage

Soaked carpet, drywall, and cabinets pile up fast. Get them out of the house before mold sets in.

Job site backup? A blocked site slows every trade behind it. See construction dumpsters →

Straight Talk

Same-Day or Next-Day? The Honest Answer

Sometimes next-day is the better call. Here is when.

Pick same-day when
  • Your crew starts today
  • Storm or water damage cannot wait
  • A tenant just moved out
  • Your last company no-showed
Pick next-day when
  • You want one specific size
  • The container must sit on the street
  • You need time to clear the driveway
  • You are loading concrete or dirt

One thing about street placement. Lubbock requires a right-of-way permit before a container can sit on a street, alley, or sidewalk. Permits do not clear in a few hours, so street drops are almost always a next-day job. Driveway drops need no permit at all.

We would rather talk you into tomorrow morning than rush a drop that will not work.

Before You Dial

Have These Six Things Ready When You Call

A little prep keeps the call short and gets your dumpster moving faster.

  1. Your street address and ZIP code
  2. What you are throwing away
  3. Roughly how much (truck loads are fine)
  4. Where the container should sit
  5. Gate or driveway width, if it is tight
  6. A phone you will actually answer
Not sure about the spot? Text us a photo. We will tell you if the truck can reach it.

Avoid the Hold-Ups

Common Mistakes That Delay Same-day Delivery

Most delays are not on our end. They happen at the address. Here are the ones we see every week — and how to avoid them.

  1. Calling in the afternoon

The number one same-day killer. The truck has to deliver, return, and still reach the landfill before it closes. A 2 p.m. call leaves no room. Even 10:45 beats 11:15.

  2. Cars still in the driveway

The truck needs about 60 feet of straight space to back in. If a car sits in the way, the driver waits or leaves. Move every vehicle before your window starts.

  3. A locked gate

Drivers cannot climb fences. Unlock the gate and prop it open before the truck arrives.

  4. Low branches and power lines

The truck lifts the container high before setting it down. Look up before you pick the spot. If a limb hangs over the driveway, tell us on the call.

  5. Not answering the phone

Drivers call when they are close. If placement is unclear and nobody picks up, the drop can slip to the next stop. Keep your phone on you.

  6. Surprise heavy debris

You booked for household junk, then loaded concrete. Now it is over the weight limit and the truck cannot haul it. Mention shingles, dirt, brick, or concrete on the first call.

  7. Guessing the size too small

A full container with debris still on the ground means a second haul and a second charge. When in doubt, describe the pile in truck loads and let us size it.

Avoid these seven and your same-day drop almost always lands on time.

Loading Rules

Can You Load It Today?

Yes — for most cleanup debris. Here is the quick breakdown of what goes in, what needs a heads-up, and what never goes in.

Goes right in
Household junk, furniture, carpet, drywall, lumber, cabinets, flooring, fence boards, and yard debris.
Call first
Concrete, dirt, brick, tile, and shingles. They hit the weight limit long before the box looks full, so they need the right container and fill line.
Never goes in
Paint, chemicals, fuel, motor oil, batteries, tires, asbestos, propane tanks , medical waste, and anything with refrigerant. Those are landfill rules, not ours.

Ask before you load a questionable item. A quick question beats a surprise fee.

Same-Day Pickup

Need It Picked Up Today Too?

Often, yes. The same rules apply — call early and we work it into the route.

Running back-to-back crews? Ask for a same-day swap.

We haul the full container off and set an empty one in the same spot. Call as early as you can so we can plan the truck. How swap-outs work →

Quick Answers

Same-Day Dumpster Rental Lubbock FAQs

Can I get a dumpster delivered today in Lubbock?
Usually, yes. Call before 11 a.m. on weekdays or 8 a.m. on Saturday. We check container stock and truck routes while you are on the phone, then give you a delivery window. If today is full, we hold tomorrow’s first slot at no charge.
What time do I need to call for same-day delivery?
Our phone is open 24/7, so you can book any time. But for same-day delivery, call by 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, or by 8 a.m. Saturday. Earlier is always better — a morning call gives the driver time to deliver, come back, and still reach the landfill before it closes. Call after the cutoff and we book your drop for the next morning.
Is same-day delivery guaranteed?
No, and we will not say it is. Same-day depends on what is on the lot, where our trucks are, and how far you are. We check all three before we commit. You get a straight yes or no on the call.
Does same-day cost more than scheduled delivery?
No. Same flat rate either way. There is no rush charge. Your price comes from container size, debris type, weight, rental days, and delivery distance. Most rentals run $275 to $675.
Can you deliver on a Saturday?
Yes, but call by 8 a.m. The construction landfill on North Avenue P closes at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Once it shuts, our trucks cannot dump, so they cannot run another delivery. Saturday afternoon calls almost always become Monday drops.
What sizes are usually available today?
The 10, 15, and 20-yard containers go out same-day most often — we stock more of them. A 30-yard usually needs an early call. A 40-yard is often a next-day job.
Can you pick it up the same day too?
Often, yes. Same-day pickups and swap-outs follow the same cutoff. Call as early as you can. Contractors running crews back-to-back should call the day before when possible so we can plan the truck.
Do I need a permit for same-day delivery?
Not for a driveway drop. A street, alley, or sidewalk placement needs a Lubbock right-of-way permit, and those do not clear in a few hours. Plan on next-day for street drops.
What if today is fully booked?
We tell you right away, then hold the first window tomorrow morning. No extra charge. You will know the time before you hang up, so your crew can plan around it.
